The Training Tree is a group of people who believe passionately in the prevention agenda. We think there is a real challenge ahead to tackle the major causes of mortality,  including vascular diseases, respiratory diseases, cancers and mental & behavioural disorders, and of course other risk factors for chronic diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, obesity and hypertension.

Up to 40% of cancers are preventable if people adopted healthy lifestyles

There is up to a 14 years life expectancy difference for those people who adopt all 4 healthy lifestyles (healthy eating, not smoking, drinking at lower risk levels and doing the recommended physical activity each week) compared to those people who do none. Preventing unhealthy lifestyles from forming, and helping people change their health behaviours is a big step towards meeting this challenge. We love to see people living the fullest life possible for themselves...and we believe that just a few interested, motivational words spoken at the right time and in the right way can really help.

  • Help you to develop a Making Every Contact Count action plan for your team or organisation
  • Train your staff to Make Every Contact Count with patients/clients/carers
  • Workforce well-being events.

Train the Trainer Events: We cover all health behaviours: alcohol, smoking, physical activity, healthy eating and mental health & well-being, sexual health and falls prevention work.
